Ardie Savea's slowly working his way back to full fitness with the Hurricanes, as he recovers from a serious injury.
On Monday, the All Blacks flanker was back training with his teammates on a typically damp day in the capital, as the team moved into the next phase of preparations for Super Rugby Aotearoa.
The Hurricanes had a shaky start to their day, with their wet-and-wild training session followed by a 5.8 magnitude earthquake.
"It was like a truck rolling down the road," says assistant coach Chris Gibbes. "The whole place started shaking.
"It was pretty loud, so it gave us a bit of a fright."
And the weather wasn't much better, as the 'Canes got physical.
"I just haven't been this cold or wet for a long time like this… the boys have definitely put in a good shift today."
And they might have to get used to it. Weather's set to play a big part in the new competition, unless you're under the roof in Dunedin.
Matches could be more physical, which suits hooker Ricky Riccitelli just fine.
"Being back, these last couple of weeks in Wellington have been genuinely winter," Riccitelli says. "It's cold and wet and windy, but we love it here in Wellington.
He's also loving the competition for places with Asafo Aumua and co-captain Dane Coles.
"It's always good to have a little bit of a rumble with Colesy at training… it's really enjoyable."
