Eden Park has finally been confirmed as the Blues home ground for Super Rugby Aotearoa.
The NZ-based competition kicks off on June 13 when the Highlanders host the Chiefs with the Hurricanes travelling to Auckland a day later.
Where that game would take place has been up for debate with concerns around the cost of renting Eden Park without the influx of revenue from crowd numbers.
Whilst there is a small chance that crowds will be introduced at a later date, it was thought Auckland Rugby could look at a cheaper option to stage its home games in the revamped competition.
But Blues CEO Andrew Hore said Eden Park is the home of the franchise and that's how they want to keep it.
"We are pleased to be back playing at our home and we are hopeful that we will be able to invite our fans to join us in this great stadium later in the competition, said Hore.
"We want to thank Eden Park and Auckland Rugby for their support and now we look forward to producing some great Blues rugby at the traditional home of the Blues."
The 10-week format will see each team play each other home and away before a champion is crowned via the first past the post system.
