Shane van Gisbergen has extended his lead over fellow Kiwi Scott McLaughlin in the Supercars Eseries, after another dominant display during round eight.
Van Gisbergen now leads McLaughlin by 146 points in provisional standings, after winning the round opener at Phillip Island and the finale at the Interlagos in Brazil.
Aussie Anton De Pasquale took the spoils in the middle race of the night.
At Phillip Island, van Gisbergen held off De Pasquale in a thriller that saw experienced virtual wildcard Fawzan El-Nabi start from pole.
Born in New Zealand, but residing in Victoria, El-Nabi won a competition against other experienced simulator races to compete in round eight of the Eseries.
Despite starting from pole, the 23-year-old tumbled down the order, as van Gisbergen hit the lead.
Van Gisbergen and De Pasquale then battled it out to the end, with the latter right on the tail of the Red Bull Holden throughout the final lap.
Van Gisbergen held on by just 0.629s, with title rival McLaughlin coming home in ninth and El-Nabi in 16th, after copping a drive-through penalty .
De Pasquale then won the second race with El-Nabi second, van Gisbergen third and McLaughlin ninth.
In the reverse-grid finale, van Gisbergen overtook McLaughlin in the closing laps to secure victory.
Round nine of the Supercars Eseries takes place on June 3.
