1908
Australia play in their first rugby league test match, against a New Zealand side that had returned from its long tour to Great Britain.
New Zealand won a thrilling match 11-10, with Aussie Dally Messenger missing a late goal which could have won the game for his country.
2004
Germany's Michael Schumacher wins the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona to register his fifth straight race victory .
He went on to win a record 13 races in the season and seal the last of his seven championships.
2009
The Chiefs claim a crucial 16-8 win over the Hurricanes in the race for a home semi-final in Super Rugby.
Stephen Donald scored all the Chiefs' points, which saw the Hamilton-based side claim their eighth win of the season, a then-franchise record.
The two sides would meet again in the semi-finals, with the Chiefs winning 14-10.
2010
Chelsea celebrate with the Premier League trophy after their 8-0 victory against Wigan Athletic at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea were one point ahead of second-placed Manchester United heading into the final game of the season, in which the London club trounced Wigan to seal their third Premier League title.
Chelsea defeated Portsmouth a week later to win the FA Cup and complete the domestic double in manager Carlo Ancelotti's first season at the helm.
2015
Golden Boot winner Shaun Johnson produces a piece of magic to help the Warriors to a 20-16 win over the Cronulla Sharks.
Johnson weaved his way through some exhausted defence to score with just over a minute remaining on the clock.
2018
A 3-1 win over Brighton sees Manchester City break multiple English Premier League records.
With one game remaining, City broke the record for most goals (105), most points (97) and most wins (31) in a season.
They would win their final game of the season to finish the season on 100 points.

Major sportswear brand ASICS has cut ties with Israel Folau over the exiled rugby union star's controversial social media posts.
The 30-year-old was found guilty of a high-level breach of his Rugby Australia contract after he said in an April Instagram post that gay people were "sinners", destined for hell.

ASICS - a major sponsor of Rugby Australia since 2014 - now says it's ending its partnership with Folau, who was a long-time ambassador for the brand.
"ASICS is dedicated to sports and its healthy contribution to society," read a statement. "We believe sport is for everyone and we champion inclusivity and diversity.
"While Israel Folau is entitled to his personal views, some of those expressed in recent social media posts are not aligned with those of ASICS.
