A storming second half saw the Mainland Tactix claim a 45-36 victory over the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic in their ANZ Premiership clash in Auckland.
Playing their third game in seven days, the Tactix showed plenty of resilience to fight back and secure their second win of the season.
After leading by two goals at the end of the first quarter, the Tactix quickly found themselves behind and ended up trailing 22-19 at halftime.
The Tactix put their foot down in the third quarter as they scored 14 goals, limiting the Magic to just seven.
The Tactix pulled away more in the final quarter to secure a crucial nine-goal win.
Ellie Bird led the Tactix with 33 goals from 44 attempts, while goal attack Te Paea Selby-Rickit had 12 goals from 19 attempts.
For the Magic, Kelsey McPhee shot 21 from 26, while Abigail Latu-Meafou went 15 from 21.
Both teams will have a breather before their next game, with the Tactix facing the Northern Mystics next Friday and the Magic squaring off against the Central Pulse next Sunday.
