The South Sydney Rabbitohs have snapped a two-game losing streak with a comprehensive 32-12 win over the Gold Coast Titans at Sydney's Bankwest Stadium.
The Rabbitohs flew out of the gate with four tries in the opening 20 minutes to establish a commanding 26-6 lead at the break that they never relinquished, despite a much-improved second half from the Titans.
Star signing Latrell Mitchell led the way with his best performance of his young Rabbitohs career, scoring one try and setting up Dane Gagai for two of his hat-trick of tries on the night.
Mitchell gave the Rabbitohs the early lead, showing great skill to regather a fumbled ball close to the line and score his first try for his new club.
The Titans responded just minutes later, as fullback Phillip Sami got on the outside of the defence to crash over in a tackle out wide.
In the 12th minute, wing Alex Johnston pounced on a short-range grubber from Cody Walker to put the Bunnies back on top 12-6.
Minutes later, Mitchell's subtle touch-pass put Gagai over in the corner to extend the Rabbitohs' lead.
In the 24th minute, Braidon Burns latched on to a spilled ball to cross for the fourth try of the half, with Adam Reynolds adding a late penalty to put Souths up a commanding 26-6 at the break.
The Titans needed to score first in the second half and they did exactly that, as Bryce Cartwright leapt to reel in a crossfield kick to dot down out wide.
Fittingly, Mitchell put the finishing touch on the Rabbitohs win with a moment of individual brilliance, beating a defender and finding Gagai with a backhand pass to give the wing his third try of the night.
