NZ Warriors' injury crisis has been eased with the loan signing of Penrith Panthers prop Jack Hetherington.
The 24-year-old will join the battling Kiwi club immediately and will be available for selection against Brisbane Broncos on Saturday night.
Hetherington scooped Penrith's 2018 NRL Rookie of the Year award and has made 16 first-grade appearances, the most recent in the Panthers' opening win over Sydney Roosters in March.
Warriors recruitment office Peter O'Sullivan is excited the club will welcome such a promising forward.
"Jack had a breakout year in 2018 and will give us the qualities we're looking for - a big man in the middle, who carries the ball strongly and is tough defensively," says O'Sullivan.
"Loan agreements have great benefits for both clubs involved."
Roosters loanee Poasa Faamausili is back with the Sydney club just days after an extension was reached between the two clubs. The defending premiers have an injury crisis of their own, after losing three players in their win over St George Illawarra Dragons on Saturday.
The Warriors sit 14th on the ladder, a spot above the Broncos on points differential.
