The Warriors women's side will play in this year's NRLW competition, after the Australian Rugby League Commission confirmed the league will go ahead in 2020.
It comes after the Government's Sport Recovery Package gifted the club $200,000, and the NRL also stepped up with much needed financial support.
"It's great to see the NRL stand up and see the value in our game," says Warriors captain Georgia Hale.
"I'm excited to put the boots back on and have something to look forward to this year."
Fears the Warriors wouldn't be able to field a side this season if they didn't get financial assistance have been put to bed.
"Certainly the NRL has provided a better funding model," says Warriors chief executive Cameron George.
"In the absence of that, we certainly wouldn't be in a position off the back of the crisis we've all been through."
It's not just getting the green light that's important for Hale, but the massive statement regarding the importance of the women's game that such a financial contribution makes.
"It's huge to have the funding and the backing from the NRL… it's so important."
"Two years we've been in the competition we've had to pay every cent ourselves, so on the back of the global crisis, we weren't in a position to fund it this year at all," George adds.
Along with the Warriors, the Broncos, Roosters and Dragons will all field teams, with the Grand Final set to be played on October 25th - the same day as the men's showpiece.
'When the NRL step up and say our game is moving to an even playing field with the men, it's big.
"They've stood up for us at a very hard time, we appreciate that."
