Central Pulse have edged Mainland Tactix to maintain their 100 percent ANZ Premiership record.
The defending champions survived a final-second surge from the much-improved Tactix, when shooter Te Paea Selby-Rickit's successful shot was ruled out as time had expired.
After leaving Saturday night's win over the Mystics with a knee complaint, Pulse captain Ameliaranne Ekenasio took her place on court and put her side in front 33-32 with 10 seconds left.
The Tactix looked on track for the upset, leading 28-25 into the final quarter, but an 8-4 run by the Pulse sealed the comeback win for the league leaders.
Ekenasio was excellent, landing 13 from 16 under the hoop, and she was backed up by Aliyah Dunn, who was perfect with 13 from 13.
The Pulse's eighth win of the season takes them 11 points clear of the Mystics at the top of the table, with the Tactix in fourth spot, a point behind Northern Stars.
The top three teams qualify for the two-game finals series.
