Central Pulse have extended their ANZ Premiership winning streak to nine games, beating the bottom-placed Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic 52-29 in Auckland on Friday night.
The Pulse were never troubled, as they outscored the Magic in every quarter, restricting their opponents to single figures in all four periods.
Pulse shooters Ameliaranne Ekenasio (28 from 29) and Aliyah Dunn (19 from 20) dominated the opening three quarters, before coach Yvette McCausland-Durie rested them during the period quarter, with youngsters Grace McLean (2 from 2) and Tiana Metuarau (3 from 5) earning valuable game-time.
The Pulse (36 points) remain atop the table, followed by Northern Mystics (21), Mainland Tactix (20), Northern Stars (17), Southern Steel (10) and the Magic (10).
The defending champions will look for their 10th-straight win when they face the fourth-placed Stars on Saturday, while the Magic are back in action on Monday against the Mystics.
