Their spot in second was solidified after the Northern Mystics suffered a shock 47-41 loss to the Southern Steel.
With the Central Pulse all but guaranteed a spot in next month's ANZ Premiership final, the Tactix, Stars, and Mystics are all battling it out to join them.
The Pulse (40 points) are top of the table followed by the Tactix (24), Mystics (21), Stars (17), Steel (14) and Magic (10).
The Mystics, who have a game in hand over the Tatix, can jump back into second place on Monday night if they beat the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic on Monday night.
The Tactix are back in action on Thursday when they host the Stars in Christchurch.
