Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko has reportedly sent yet another swing coach packing.
Jorge Parada tells NZME that Ko informed him during a video call that he was no longer required, just days out from the resumption of the LPGA tour.
"She just gave me a call and I thought she was gonna call me to FaceTime me and do some swing work for an hour or half hour or so," Parada tells NZME.
"She called me and told me [I wasn’t required any more]."
"I don't know exactly what the reasoning was. I know we ended up on very good terms."
The Spaniard is the fourth coach in the past five years to have been fired by Ko, after David Leadbetter, Gary Gilchrist, Ted Oh and David Whelan.
Ko's last tournament under Parada was the Australian Open back in February, where she missed the cut.
Parada had been working with Ko during the pandemic-enforced hiatus and says he'd been encouraged by their progress.
"I was really excited about the restart. I felt like things were going in a really good direction. She was swinging it in a way that looked really fantastic."
According to NZME, the former world No.1 - who's now ranked 52nd - will team now up with Sean Foley, who's previously worked with Tiger Woods and Justin Rose.
Ko will play her first tournament with Foley at the drive On Championship in Ohio, starting Friday (NZ time).
