Kiwi UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has been revealed as one of the cover athletes for the upcoming UFC 4 video game, due to be released next month.
Adesanya will grace the cover of the game, released by Electronic Arts, alongside UFC BMF champion Jorge Masvidal, who is defending his title against fellow American Kamaru Usman on Sunday.
"I am the face of the new wave of UFC fighters, so it feels right to represent the sport on this new generation UFC game," says Adesanya. "I look forward to my fans playing as me as much as I have enjoyed playing as myself."
UFC boss Dana White describes it as the best "fighting game ever made".
"Fans can play in the top arenas, as well as in backyard and kumite environments," he says.
"This game allows you to play with the top athletes in UFC history, plus legends like Bruce Lee, and boxing champions Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. It's crazy how good this game is."
Adesanya hasn't fought inside the Octagon since beating Cuban Yoel Romero in March, a week before the coronavirus brought the sporting world to a halt.
'The Last Stylebender' is set to face Brazilian Paulo Costa in his next title defence.
UFC 4's worldwide release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is set for August 14.
