After a test career spanning 15 years, New Zealand's most decorated netballer has called time on her glittering career.
Laura Langman has confirmed her international retirement, ending on a high as Silver Ferns captain and a world champion.
The announcement has sparked plaudits from Langman's former teammates, who believe she deserves to be called the 'Greatest Of All Time'.
"Laura's the GOAT," says NZ teammate Katrina Rore. "She's a legend of our game.
"Just her nouse about the game and leadership, and how to get things done on the court is next to none."
Since making her debut in 2005, Langman's been an imposing figure for the Silver Ferns, playing a record-breaking 163 test caps, and forging a reputation as an incomparable mid-courter and leader.
"She brings so much to the black dress and I think that no-one compares to her," says NZ shooter Ameliaranne Ekenasio.
Langman won two Commonwealth Games gold medals during a remarkable stretch of 141 straight tests for the Ferns, then returned from a 18-month absence to lead New Zealand to the 2019 Netball World Cup title.
"Definitely, in my involvement in netball as a coach, I would feel that she's one of the greatest," says Silver Ferns coach Dame Noeline Taurua.
Even the Ferns' greatest foes are in awe of her achievements
"It's one thing to be talented, it's another thing to have longevity," Australian netball great Liz Ellis tells Newshub.
"I think the mark of a champion is someone who can change their game continually and I think Laura has done that."
On Tuesday, Taurua will name her next Silver Ferns squad, with Ekenasio expected to be named Langman's successor as captain.
