All Black Richie Mo'unga and wife Sophie have announced the arrival of their first child.
The Crusaders first-five has posted an adorable Instagram picture of his hand and that of new daughter Billie Marie Mo'unga, born on August 16.
"I can’t put into words the joy you bring to me and your mother," Mo'unga writes. "The best day of our lives. Love you BillieMo."
Mo'unga, a star of the Crusaders' recent Super Rugby Aotearoa success, married Sophie at St Andrew's College in Christchurch last December. The 26-year-old was a standout talent for the school between 2009-12.
Mo'unga has been selected in the South squad for the proposed inter-island clash, but the recent COVID-19 outbreak in Auckland has cast doubt over that game.
Newshub understands NZ Rugby will announce the fate of that fixture on Wednesday.
Fellow rugby stars Dan Carter, Anton Lienert-Brown, Ardie Savea, TJ Perenara, Rieko Ioane, Lima Sopoaga and Will Genia have sent their congratulations to the talented first-five and his wife.
