Kiwi driver Scott McLaughlin has claimed a dominant win in the scond leg of the Supercars event in Darwin on Sunday.
The victory brings McLaughlin's total race wins to 48, which equals the mark set by NZ great Peter Brock, while extending his lead at the top of the championship standings.
The two-time defending champion redeemed himself for his disastrous 20th place finish in Saturday's Triple Crown to cross the line ahead of rival Jamie Whincup.
Fabian Coulthard roared past McLaughlin in a flying start to the race, but the 27-year-old maintained his composure and capitalised on his compatriot's slip-up in the eighth lap.
"I was a bit bummed I didn't get a chance (at victory on Saturday), but my own mistake," McLaughlin tells AAP.
"Great start with 'Fabs' (Coulthard), my best start for a long time, but he absolutely smashed me.
"I saw 'Fabs' run wide, so got a bit lucky there, but overall really proud and two Shell V-Power cars on the podium."
McLaughlin will remain in Darwin, where he'll try to keep his momentum going at next weekend's Super Sprint events.
