Crusaders outside back Will Jordan along with Blues duo Caleb Clarke and Hoskins Sotutu headline the seven new faces named in Ian Foster's first All Blacks squad.
On Sunday, Foster named a 35-man squad, which features plenty of experience and youth, but it still remains unclear when the team will actually take to the field.
Jordan, who scored the winning try during Saturday's North v South match in Wellington, and wing Clarke are the only two new faces in the backs, with the remaining five named in the forwards.
Blues prop Alex Hodgeman, locks Tupou Vaa'i (Chiefs) and Quinten Strange (Crusaders), and loose forwards Sotutu and Cullen Grace (Crusaders) are the other new faces. Blues loose forward Akira Ioane was also named, but he has played one match for the All Blacks in 2017 against a French XV, but has yet to figure in a test.
Other returning players include Hurricanes hooker Asafo Aumua, who also hasn't played since 2017, and props Tyrel Lomax (Hurricanes) and Karl Tu'inukuafe (Blues), who both haven't played for the All Blacks since 2018.
There are currently no tests locked in for the All Blacks to place, but Newshub understands plans are being finalised for a four-test Bledisloe Cup series against Australia, starting next month.
The All Blacks haven't played since beating Wales in last year's Bronze final at the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Foster is excited to start working with the team, despite the uncertain future.
"We're hugely excited at the calibre of the players selected for this All Blacks squad of 2020," he says.
"It's been a great process working through the selections and I've really enjoyed working with 'Plums' [John Plumtree] as part of the new selectors group.
"The result is that we can now announce a team that is rich in experience and a little battle-hardened after the Rugby World Cup, but looking forward with the inclusion of a number of new players.
"We're delighted with the balance of the group and we look forward to whatever the challenges of 2020 throw at us.
"On behalf of [Grant] Fox and Plums, I want to congratulate all the players named today and particularly the seven new caps.
"This is a really special day for Alex, Quinten, Tupou, Cullen, Hoskins, Caleb and Will and their families and we congratulate them all.
"All seven have walked a slightly different path to get here, but the common thing for all of them today is that feeling of hearing your name read out as an All Black."
First-five Josh Ioane and prop Angus Ta'avao are two notable names missing from the squad, while prop Atu Moli, lock Scott Barrett and midfielder Ngani Laumape were not considered due to injury.
Foster said the players would return to their provincial sides for the opening weekend of New Zealand's premier domestic competition, which starts on Friday when North Harbour face Canterbury.
