Two leading White Ferns are about to embark on a unique adventure to Australia, as the team heads away on their first overseas assignment in six months.
The experienced duo of Amy Satterthwaite and Lea Tahuhu will have some extra special cargo along for the ride - new daughter Grace.
In January, Satterthwaite gave birth to the couple's first child.
"Yes, it is a little different," Satterthwaite tells Newshub. "The lack of sleep at times has been a bit of an adjustment."
The break will finally come to an end for these White Ferns and they're excited for their first taste of cricket in more than six months with a family twist.
"You leave your job, you leave the nets, and you get home and you're able to enjoy that life," says Tahuhu. "So I'm looking forward to having that distraction when we're away as well."
But they insist Grace won't be chasing her own cricketing dreams anytime soon.
"No, she won't be turning up to trainings just yet," says Tahuhu. "She's a little small for that still."
