All Blacks midfielder Jack Goodhue has re-signed with NZ Rugby, recommitting to the All Blacks, Crusaders and Northland through 2023.
The 25-year-old is the latest All Black to commit for the next Rugby World Cup in France, alongside Brodie Retallick, Patrick Tuipulotu, Beauden Barrett, Anton Lienert-Brown, and Crusaders teammates Scott Barrett and Sam Whitelock.
"It's an awesome opportunity," says Goodhue. "Of course, I love playing rugby in New Zealand.
"[I] love representing my province at home in Northland, playing for the Crusaders and whatever rugby I can for New Zealand. It's awesome."
Goodhue made his All Blacks test debut in 2018 against France and has since worn the jersey 13 times, including at last year's World Cup in Japan.
All Blacks coach Ian Foster has been impressed with Goodhue's development and can't wait to continue working alongside him in the coming years.
"It's fantastic news that Jack has re-signed with NZ Rugby for three more years," says Foster.
"He's grown immensely as a player since coming into our group in 2017 and has some real international experience under his belt, which will serve him well in the future.
"He's also a growing leader in our team, and we look forward to seeing how his influence grows both on and off the field over the next few years."
