Kiwi Paul Coll has fallen short in his bid to win the Manchester Squash Open, beaten in the semi-finals by world No.1 Mohammad ElShorbagy.
The Egyptian was taken the distance by Coll, winning in five games in just over 85 minutes.
World No. 5 Coll won the second and fourth games but faded in the final frame losing 11-4, 9-11, 11-9, 8-11, 11-7.
The tournament in Manchester was the first event since the PSA shut down the schedule six-months-ago thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Coll and fellow Kiwi Joelle King head to Cairo next week to play in the World Tour Finals for the top eight ranked players in the world.
