All Blacks star Ardie Savea made a few young fans' days in Whakatane on Tuesday.
Hundreds of youngsters turned out with autograph books and selfie-modes enabled, as the squad continued its community outreach in the East Coast town.
In the thick of the crowd, the ever-humble Savea took the opportunity to seize a microphone from Newshub rugby reporter Ollie Ritchie and shine the spotlight on a few of the locals.
Initially deflected from kid to kid, Savea's request for a waiata (song) was ultimately answered in rousing fashion, leaving the strapping No.8 shaking his head in appreciation.
And the choir leader definitely left nothing on the table, belting out his song until the very last note.
