Silver Ferns defender Katrina Rore has announced she's pregnant.
The Central Pulse captain was ruled out of the ongoing three test series against England due to "medical reasons", which have have now been revealed.
The former New Zealand captain announced on Instagram that she and her husband Joel are expecting their first child.
"When you try, try and try again, seek medical advice, tests done, try, try and try again...persistence pays off," Rore says.
"Joel and I are super excited to be welcoming a new addition to our little whānau. Pēpē due 2021."
Katrina Rore has played 137 tests for the Silver Ferns and has been a key figure in the recent dominance of the Central Pulse in the ANZ Premiership.
