New Zealand's Michael Venus and his Australian doubles partner John Peers have won their third ATP title of the year.
The second-seeded pair triumphed in straight sets over India's Rohan Bopanna and Dutchman Matwe Middelkoop in the final of the Antwerp Open.
It was a fine performance from the trans-Tasman duo, who didn't drop a set through the entire tournament, eventually winning 6-3, 6-4.
Venus and Peers raced out to a 5-1 lead in the first set, before a minor speedbump, but the Kiwi held his nerve in the ninth game, after saving a breakpoint, yo serve out the set.
The second set proved much together until Middelkoop had his serve broken in the ninth game allowing the Kiwi to serve out the match and claim the title.
The victory is Venus' 13th ATP doubles title and he should climb to a career-high eighth in the world rankings next week.
Venus and Peers have flown straight to Vienna for the ATP 500 tournament, where they have been drawn against French Open champions Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies in the first round.
Venus and Peers are tantalisingly close to confirming their place in the ATP Finals in London next month.
They sit sixth in the race and have the tournament in Vienna and next week’s Paris Masters to qualify for the elite eight-team field for London.
