Wallabies coach Dave Rennie has turned to two debutants in an attempt to stop his side sinking to a third straight defeat against the All Blacks in Brisbane.
Flanker Lachlan Swinton and winger Tom Wright have been drafted into the starting XV for Bledisloe IV, which also acts as the second game of the revamped Tri Nations.
Australia hope to bounce back from a crushing 43-5 loss a week ago in Sydney - the biggest margin in Bledisloe Cup history.
Veteran prop James Slipper has been named to start in his 100th test match, but the Wallabies have been dealt an injury blow, with lock forward Lukhan Salakaia-Loto ruled out.
Swinton, 23, will join Harry Wilson and skipper Michael Hooper in the back row, while Rennie has opted for a brand new midfield of Queensland duo Hunter Paisami and Jordan Petaia.
Winger Wright will wear the No.14 jersey on debut, completing a back three with Tom Banks and Marika Koroibete.
Reece Hodge has been shifted to first-five in the continued absence of James O'Connor.
"It’s going to be a really special night for James [Slipper] in front of his family and friends back at his home ground," says coach Rennie. "I know the team will be doing everything they can to make sure it’s a memorable result.
"Lachlan, Tom and Angus have been excellent over the past seven weeks, and have earned their first jersey for Australia through hard work and good performances.
"As a whole group, we were really disappointed after last weekend and we get a chance to show our character on Saturday in Brisbane."
