Sharpshooting forward Isaac Davidson has nailed down a three-year NZ Breakers contract and will fly out with the team for Australia on Sunday.
With their Australian NBL campaign due to tip off next month, the Auckland-based side will base themselves in Melbourne for their pre-season build-up - and until COVID-19 border restrictions are eased enough to allow home games.
On the eve of their departure, Davidson, 23, has been added to their roster as a development player, with the option of taking up a full contract in his third year.
"I'm now playing alongside some of the people I've been idolising since I was younger - Tom Abercrombie, Rob Loe, Tai and Corey Webster," he says. "I feel like I'm one of the luckiest players to have come out of COVID."
