Former Blackcaps speedster Adam Milne has made a successful return to cricket afte nearly two years spent in the medical ward.
Milne took 0/17 from his four overs, as his Sydney Thunder completed a seven-wicket win over the Perth Scorchers, in their Big Bash League clash in Canberra.
The Scorchers batsman struggled against the skiddy pace of Milne, who didn't concede a boundary off his bowling.
Former international team-mate Colin Munro scored 25, opening the batting for Perth to continue his run of starts, without pushing on to a big score.
Both Milne and Munro have opted out of the New Zealand Super Smash domestic tournament to play in the Big Bash League, in a bid to push their credentials for the next year's World Cup.
Milne was also lured by the opportunity to be mentored by former national bowling coach Shane Bond - who is the head coach at the Thunder.
