59th over - Wagner to continue. 

OUT - Wagner starts with a short ball and Blackwood tries to pull him away. He gets none of it and it loops away to short fine leg where Southee takes the easy catch.

Gabriel is the last man in. New Zealand need just one more wicket for victory. 

OUT - Wagner wrapes it up. He goes full and straight and knocks over Gabriels stumps with the tailender going for a massive attacking shot.

58th over - Jamieson to continue. 

Joseph drives hard but doesn't get all of it. It flies over the top of mid off and Williamson tries to drag it in but puts down a tough chance and they get through for two runs. 

OUT - The next ball sees Joseph go hard again. It slices off the bat and flies out to deep point and sub fielder Mitch Santner takes an easy catch.

The batsman crossed in the air so Blackwood is on strike.

Off the next ball Blackwood guides Jamieson out through the covers for a single.

57th over - Neil Wagner is back into the attack in place of Southee. 

Wagner starts with a full one and Joseph goes after him with a pull shot but it catches the gloves and lands just short of square leg and they will get a single. 

Blackwood flicks Wagner down to fine leg for a single to keep scoreboard ticking over. 

The last ball of the over, Joseph edges one straight up but it lands just short of square leg. (WI 241/6)

56th over - Another change in the bowling, Kyle Jamieson is coming into the attack for Wagner who only bowled one over.

Off the first ball of the over, Blackwood flicks Jamieson to mid on for a single to bring up his second test century. A great innings from middle over batsman who gets a  well deserved hundred. 

After a dot ball, Joseph guides Jamieson down to third man for two runs. 

Joseph pushes Jamieson down to third man for a single to end the over. That ends the first hours play. It has been all West Indies so far, with New Zealand's only chance coming when Blackwood was on 89 and Ross Taylor put down a simple catch. 

Apart from that one moment West Indies have cruised through to 239. The Blackcaps only need three wickets to wrap up the first test as Shane Dowrich injured his hand fielding so won't bat.  (WI 239/6) 

55th over - Southee to continue with Blackwood on 98. Blackwood has been dismissed three times previously in the 90s, so he struggles with the nervous 90s.

After five dot balls, Blackwood pushes one to point for a single to take him to 99. (WI 235/6)

54th over - A change of bowling for New Zealand, with Neil Wagner coming into the attack. 

After a dot ball, Blackwood punches Wagner through the covers for a single to take him to 98. Blackwood is looking for his second test century. 

The next ball sees Joseph plays and misses again. His third in a row.

53rd over - Southee to continue. 

After a dot ball to start the over, Blackwood punches Southee out through point for a single. 

Joseph drives Southee through midwicket and they will pick up two runs. 

The final two balls, see Joseph play and miss on both occassions. Southee can't believe he hasn't got an edge of either of them. (WI 233/6)

52nd over - Boult to continue.

After two dot balls to start the over, Blackwood turns Boult down to fine leg for a single to take him to 96.

51st over - Southee to continue with his 13th over. 

Southee starts with one on Blackwood's hips and he turns him into the midwicket for a single to start the over. 

After two dot balls, Joseph turns Southee down to fine leg for two runs. Boult does well to save the boundary with great fielding.

50th over - Boult to continue. 

After three dot balls to start the over, Blackwood pushes Boult off the back foot out through point for a single.

Boult goes on a shortish length and Joseph has dispatched him all the way for six. What a shot.

49th over - Southee to continue. 

After two dot balls to start the over, Southee goes short and Joseph has pulled him comfortable onto the bank for six. These two are looking very settled at the crease. 

A lucky break for the West Indies. Joseph pushes at a full ball and there is no foot movement and the ball floats out to mid off but lands just short of Williamson (WI 218/6) 

48th over - Boult to continue. 

After four dot balls to start the over with Boult bowling a great line and length, Joseph flicks Boult into the leg side for a single. 

Off the final ball of the over, Blackwood drives Boult throught the covers for four. Great shot to take him into the 90s. (WI 213/6)

47th over - Southee to continue. 

After a dot ball to start the over, Blackwood pulls Southee down to fine leg for a single. 

Southee goes short again. Joseph is in two minds whether to pull or duck and at the last minute decides to pull and gets a little bit of bat on it and it skews out to square leg for a single. 

Southee goes full and wide and Blackwood drives him perfectly for four through the covers. 

Off the final ball of the over, Southee goes on a perfect length. Blackwood drives and it catches the edges and flies perfectly to Ross Taylor who puts down a simple catch. (WI 208/6)

46th over - Boult to continue. 

Boult starts to straight and Blackwood flicks him off his pads down to fine leg. Great fielding from Will Young saves four but they get through for a single. 

Joseph sees out the final five balls of the over looking comfortable in defence. (WI 202/6)

45th over - Southee to continue. 

After a dot ball to start the over, Blackwood guides one out to midwicket for a single. 

A single for Joseph out to point brings up the 200 runs for West Indies. 

Blackwood drives Southee down to mid off for another single to keep scoreboard ticking.

44th over - Trent Boult to open up from the other end. 

After a dot ball to start the over, Joseph pushes Boult to short cover for a quick single to get the scoring underway. 

Blackwood tries to drive on the up. It is risky and flies to Williamson at mid off on the bounce and they get through for a single.

43rd over - Tim Southee has ball in hand for New Zealand first up and Blackwood will face up for the West Indies. 

Good start for both sides, with Southee starting on a good line and length but Blackwood looking solid in defence.

11:00am - Players are making there way out onto the field. Jermaine Blackwood who is on 80 and Alzarri Joseph who is on 59 are making their way to the middle for the visitors and look to continue their 107 run partnership.

Kane Williamson leads the Blackcaps out to the middle.

10:56am - We are just five minutes away from the start of day four with the Blackcaps needing just three wickets for victory, and the West Indies still requiring 185 runs to make New Zealand bat again. 

West Indies wicket keeper Shane Dowrich injured his hand in the first innings while keeping and will not bat, which is why the Blackcaps only need three wickets. 

Conditions in Hamilton are perfect and will suit batting, which will help the visitors try hold off the home side in there quest for the remaining three wickets.   

Kia ora, good morning and welcome to Newshub's live coverage on day four of the opening cricket test between New Zealand and West Indies at Hamilton's Seddon Park.

The West Indies will resume play at 196/6, trailing the Blackcaps by 185 runs in their second innings. 

On day three, the visitors were bowled out for 138, and Blackcaps captain Kane Williamson enforced the follow on.

That means the Blackcaps only need three more wickets to secure an innings victory, as West Indies wicket keeper Shane Dowrich injured is hand keeping in the first innings and will not bat, so the New Zealand only need nine wickets. 

The Blackcaps posted  519/7 during their first innings, thanks to a historic 251 from Williamson, who revealed that he and his parter, Sarah Raheem are expecting the couple's first child later this month.
