UFC star Dan Hooker has made weight for his UFC 257 encounter against American Michael Chandler on Sunday at Abu Dhabi's 'Fight Island'.
The Kiwi fighter weighed in right on the upper limit of the lightweight range at 156 pounds (71kg) compared to Chandler's 155 pounds (70kg).
The 'Hangman' looked very relaxed on stage in attire more suited to the New Zealand summer. His opponent, who is making his UFC debut, was aggressive and pumped up on stage.
The 30-year-old has 20-win, nine-loss record and comes into the event as the No.6 UFC lightweight fighter in the world.
The card's main event will see the return of Connor McGregor, who hasn't fought since January 2020. He'll take on Dustin Poirier in a rematch, after the two faced off in 2014, when McGregor took the spoils with a technical knockout victory in round one.
