Trent Boult and Henry Nicholls starred as the Blackcaps completed an eight-wicket destruction of Bangladesh in the opening one-day international in Dunedin.
Winning the toss and bowling, captain Tom Latham would have been delighted at the innings break after dismissing the tourists for 131.
Boult took 4/23 while Mitchell Santner (2/23) and James Neesham (2/27) grabbed a pair of wickets each.
Martin Guptiil got the Blackcaps off to a blazing start, with the right-hander hitting four sixes and three fours in a 19-ball 32 as the Blackcaps brought up 50 in five overs.
Once Guotill fell, Henry Nicholls (49no), and Devon Conway (27) eased New Zealand towards the meagre total at University Oval.
Debutant Will Young (11no) hit the winning runs with 28 overs to spare.
