NZ Warriors will be without centre Euan Aitken for up to 10 weeks, after the new recruit suffered an ankle injury in their season-opening win over Gold Coast Titans.
The 25-year-old centre will likely go under the knife this week, after sustaining a high ankle sprain in his left leg on Saturday.
Despite the injury, Aitken played the entire 80 minutes of the 19-6 victory, running 133 metres and making 16 tackles.
Aitken's injury leaves Peta Hiku and Adam Pompey as the club's remaining specialist centres, with the likes of Marcelo Montoya, David Fusitu'a or Hayze Perham as potential utility options.
