Pukekohe Park Raceway has been locked in as the location for the Auckland SuperSprint for the penultimate round of the 2021 Supercars Championship.
In a straight shootout for the event, Pukekohe edged out Hampton Downs to host New Zealand's stop of the Supercars series.
"I'd also like to thank the team at Hampton Downs for all they've done, too," Supercars CEO Sean Seamer said.
"We are going to Pukekohe this year, but Hampton Downs is still very much on our radar."
The Supercars confirmed on Sunday that the event will return to Pukekohe on November 6-7, following the confirmation of the trans-Tasman travel bubble between New Zealand and Australia
The 2021 edition will mark the 20th anniversary since the Supercars first came to Pukekohe in what was the first ever points round to take place outside of Australia.
"It will be over two years since we visited New Zealand when we arrive this November," Seamer says "We can't wait to get back and see our fans and partners there."
"Pukekohe holds a special place in Supercars' history as the first venue to host an international championship round, which is what we will celebrate this year, 20 years since that spectacular debut.
