Wrap - Wow. What a crazy game. The Reds were flawless in the first spell and led 12-3 when McKenzie was sent off. The piled on three more tries and the game looked dead.
Trailing 40-8 with a 17 minutes to go, the Chiefs were electric, opening up the Reds at will in the closing stages and almost pulled off a deadset miracle.
The Reds hung on - just - and the Aussies have their first win of Super Rugby Trans-Tasman.

57mins - Try Reds: Filip Daugunu - The Reds attacking with intent as Vunivalu goes close down the right ghand side......ball shifts to the left as O'Conner finds Hegarty who puts Daugunu in to score in the corner. RED 40-8
52mins - Try Chiefs: Peter Gus Sowakula - Great attack from the Chiefs. Stevenson breaks down the right ...several phases later and the ball shifts along the backline and Sowakula is put over by Tiatia. RED 33-8
50mins - Trask clears after another Reds turnover. Lineout Reds on the 22.
48mins - The Reds hot on attack after a breakout from Paisami but the ball is turned over....Chiefs look to counter but they turn the ball over. Scrum Reds 10m out.
46mins - Penalty for the Chiefs on halfway. They are playing a very high-tempo game to open the spell.
44mins - A ton of kicking to open the half. Reds with a lineout on halfway.
Second-half: Kaleb Trask gets us back underway.
Halftime - Mercy for the Chiefs as the hooter goes for the break. The Chiefs are down to 14 thanks to McKenzie's card, but even before that moment they were third in a two horse race.

22mins - Try Reds- Isaac Henry/Red Card Chiefs (Damian McKenzie): Big moment for the Reds....Tate McDermott off the back of the scrum finds Henry with a short pass and puts him in a huge hole and he runs away to score. Damian McKenzie in trouble here with a shoulder charge - he may march for this. And he does get marched - red card as his late shot on McDermott is shoulder to chin and under the rules that's a fair call. RED 12-3
