Chiefs hooker Samisoni Taukei'aho has been called into the All Blacks squad as injury cover, with Asafo Aumua suffering concussion symptoms.
Taukei'aho, 23, will provide back-up at hooker, with Codie Taylor and Dane Coles also available to coach Ian Foster for Saturday's test against Fiji in Dunedin.
Aumua, 24, reported his concussion symptoms after the All Blacks' 102-0 victory over Tonga at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday, when he came on as a second-half substitute for Coles.
Tongan-born Taukei'aho was scouted when touring New Zealand with Tonga's U15s side and was snapped up on a scholarship by Hamilton's St Paul's Collegiate. He then went on to represent New Zealand at schoolboy level.
Taukei'aho, who's played 49 games for the Chiefs in Super Rugby since 2017, turned down the chance to represent Tonga at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
The All Blacks arrived in Dunedin on Sunday, building up to Saturday's first test against Fiji at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
