Kiwi NBA star Steven Adams has been traded from New Orleans Pelicans to Memphis Grizzlies, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Adams, 28, has reportedly been included in a sizable trade between the two sides, which sees him exchanged alongside teammate Eric Bledsoe, along with the 10th and 40th picks in the upcoming NBA draft. A protected 2022 first round draft pick from the Los Angeles Lakers has also been included.
In exchange, the Pelicans received Jonas Valanciunas, as well as the 17th and 51st draft picks.
The Kiwi was traded ahead of the NBA's 2020/21 season, having been with Oklahoma City Thunder since being drafted in 2013.
Adams played 58 games in his one season with the Pelicans, averaging just under 28 minutes per game, along with 7.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 blocks and 0.9 steals.
The Pelicans finished last season 11th in the NBA's Western Conference, with 31 wins and 41 defeats in the regular season, missing the play-offs.
