Departing NZ Warriors Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Leeson Ah Mau have been farewelled with a stirring haka at their Sunshine Coast base on Thursday.
Kiwi players from across their new Queensland headquarters - which they share with several rival teams - gathered to deliver a rousing rendition of 'Ka Mate' to the pair, before the Warriors duo made their way to the airport to return to New Zealand.
Tuivasa-Sheck has been granted an early release from his Warriors contract to head back to New Zealand and avoid the 14-day mandatory quarantine, which will start when the trans-Tasman bubble is paused on Saturday.
He'll go straight into preparations with Auckland for the upcoming National Provincial Championship - the start of his pursuit of his All Blacks dreams.
Prop Ah Mau has also been permitted to make a premature homecoming to renuite with his family.
The Warriors have six games remaining this season, with their NRL finals' hopes essentially over.
