Teenage Kiwi footballer Matthew Garbett has signed for Italian Serie A club Torino on a three-year deal.
The 19-year-old is expected to be part of the club's youth set-up initially, with hopes of eventually graduating to the first team.
Torino is home to Italian internationals Simone Zaza and Andrea Belotti, as well as Swiss international Ricardo Rodriguez.
Garbett has played 17 games for Falkenbergs in the Swedish top league, although the club was relegated last season.
The Tokyo Olympian had been targeted by English clubs Brentford, Crystal Palace and Watford, but has opted for Turin as his new home.
Garbett was on a three-year deal in Sweden, after signing from Wellington club Western Suburbs in 2020.
The London-born Wellingtonian has been capped 10 times at the U17 level, scoring four goals.
Garbett joins fellow Kiwi Nico Kirwin in Italy. The son of former All Black Sir John Kirwin plays for Serie C side Calcio Padova.
