Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic have added another Silver Fern to their ranks for the 2022 ANZ Premiership, acquiring Katrina Rore from Central Pulse.
Defender Rore, 34, joins Ameliaranne Ekenasio and Claire Kersten in trading the Pulse for the Magic, with Waikato-Bay of Plenty having also added Bailey Mes and Oceane Maihi to their roster.
Only Irene van Dyk, Maria Folau and Laura Langman have played more tests for the Silver Ferns than Rore, who's returning to the court after welcoming daughter Lilybud earlier this year.
"I'm really excited about the opportunity to play in the Magic dress and am looking forward to getting back out on court," Rore says.
"As a new mum your perspective on things changes and for me I'm motivated by the chance for Lilybud and Joel to come and cheer me on, having fun and playing with my mates along with the challenge of a new environment."
Rore's signing complements the Magic's defensive unit, along with Maihi, Erena Mikaere, and Georgia Tong.
However, the Magic will be without Australian Diamonds captain Caitlin Bassett, who last week confirmed she'd be returning home after one season playing in the ANZ Premiership.
The Magic finished last in the 2021 ANZ Premiership, winning just one game from their 15 matches played.
