NZ Warriors could lose forwards Kane Evans and Matt Lodge for two weeks after they were both cited in the 18-16 victory over Cronulla Sharks, while winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak faces a fine.
Evans, 29, was cited three separate times in the Warriors' victory over the Sharks on Saturday, sin-binned twice as the Kiwi side clung on for their first consecutive victories of the season.
In the 34th minute, Evans was sin-binned for throwing a punch at Sharks centre Will Chambers, before being placed on report for a dangerous contact charge on winger Ronaldo Mulitalo.
To cap his afternoon off, Evans was sin-binned again in the 64th minute of the match, and placed on report for the second time for a dangerous conduct charge to the head and neck of Chambers.
If found guilty, Evans will face a two-week suspension from the NRL, but that could be shortened to one week with an early guilty plea.
Evans was recently in hot water with NRL officials, having written an obscene message on his wrist strapping in the Warriors' defeat to Penrith Panthers last month. He was fined $5000 for the incident.
Elsewhere, Lodge could also face a two week suspension and fine, after he too was charged with a careless high tackle on Chambers in the 11th minute.
Bans for Evans and Lodge would rule them out for up to two matches, with the Warriors to face the Bulldogs in round 22, and the Broncos in round 23, with their hopes of a top eight finish still on the line.
Winger Watene-Zelezniak also faces a fine for a contrary conduct charge on Chambers, occurring in the 47th minute of the Warriors' win.
The three Warriors players will learn their fates on Monday, as the NRL judiciary meets to assess the incidents reported for round 21.
