Shooters Tiana Metuarau and Jamie Hume are in line for their Silver Ferns debuts, named in Dame Noeline Taurua's matchday 12 to face England Roses in Christchurch on Monday.
The pair will contest for the goal attack bib in the first test of the series, looking to partner Te Paea Selby-Rickit or Maia Wilson inside the shooting circle.
Hume, 25, in particular looms as an attractive option for the starting goal attack bib, having finished the 2021 ANZ Premiership with 244 goals from 328 attempts for Northern Stars - the best for a goal attack, and seventh best overall.
That success could see Hume form a starting combination with Stars teammate Wilson.
Metuarau, 20, wasn't far behind Hume in the shooting statistics though, landing 221 from 273 attempts at a success rate of 81 percent for Southern Steel.
Gina Crampton will captain the Silver Ferns for the first time, after joining the side from Auckland last week following a travel exemption.
Crampton is joined in the midcourt by Maddy Gordon, Claire Kersten, Shannon Saunders and Sam Winders.
In defence, Dame Noeline Taurua has named only three players, with vice-captain Sulu Fitzpatrick joined by Karin Burger and Kelly Jury.
However, there was no room in the side for Grace Nweke, despite her finishing as the ANZ Premiership's leading scorer with 852 goals at a success rate of 90 percent.
Silver Ferns: Jamie Hume, Tiana Metuarau, Te Paea Selby-Rickit, Maia Wilson, Gina Crampton (c), Maddy Gordon, Claire Kersten, Shannon Saunders, Samantha Winders, Karin Burger, Sulu Fitzpatrick, Kelly Jury.
