NZ Warriors prop Kane Evans should have played his last game for the Kiwi club, former coach Brian McClennan says.
After being sent off during the Warriors' humiliating 44-0 defeat to Gold Coast Titans, Evans faces a minimum six-game ban, which would see him miss the start of the 2022 NRL season.
The 29-year-old was one of three players sin-binned during Sunday's defeat, as he, Matt Lodge and Jazz Tevaga attempted to fight the Titans players, leaving the Warriors reduced to 10 men.
For McClennan, who coached the Warriors in 2012, Evans' latest indiscretion, just weeks after his ban for throwing punches at Cronulla Sharks centre Will Chambers, should be the last straw.
"For me, they've got to get rid of him," McClennan has told SENZ. "Just not good enough.
"Twice in a row now he's thrown punches and hasn't even caused a bruise. For me, he's got to go.
"Given that he copped his warning and has done it again, that's not a selfless action of a player who's thinking of his team. For me, they've got to move him on."
Earlier this year, Evans was also fined $5000, after writing an offensive message on his wrist band worn during a 30-16 defeat to Parramatta Eels.
The behaviour of Evans, Lodge and Tevaga has seen club chief executive Cameron George apologise for their conduct and the team's performance in the loss to the Titans.
