Cricket: Former White Ferns wicketkeeper Rachel Priest smashes first Women's Big Bash League century of season

Former White Ferns wicketkeeper Rachel Priest has plundered the first century of the Australian Women's Big Bash League, smashing an unbeaten 107 (65 balls) for her Hobart Hurricanes against Melbourne Stars.

The 36-year-old belted 10 fours and seven sixes to notch her maiden T20 century, as Hobart set Melbourne 153 for victory at Blundstone Arena.

Priest played 87 one-day internationals and 75 T20s for New Zealand, after making her debut in 2007.

The Kiwi was the sole destroyer for the Hurricanes, with only two other players scoring double figures in a total of 152/4.

That was more than enough for the home side, as the Stars - featuring Australian skipper Meg Lanning - tumbled to 89 all out, falling to a 63-run loss.
