Doubleheader weekends will return in 2022, with the ANZ Premiership confirming its schedule for a shortened season.
Condensed into 12 weeks that include a two-game finals series, the 2022 ANZ Premiership will begin on March 13, with 2021 champions Northern Mystics facing Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic.
The shortened competition will finish in early June, with the Birmingham Commonwealth Games scheduled for July.
"We are really excited to announce something a little bit different for 2022, with the doubleheader weekends, which is going to provide a feast of netball for fans throughout New Zealand," says Netball NZ head of events Emma Fowlie.
"We can't wait to see what the athletes and teams bring next season in what will be a big year for netball."
A total of 45 regular-season games will be played, with details about the finals series to be released at a later date.
