After an evenly contested opening period, Pumas lock Tomas Lavanini's sinbinning for taking out a lineout lifter proved costly for the visitors, as Wallabies hooker Folau Fainga'a immediately bulldozed over from a rolling maul to put his side ahead 8-0.
Just minutes later, Australia further capitalised on their one-man advantage, with Kellaway benefiting from a slick set-piece move to score the Wallabies' second try.
With the first half expired, the Pumas converted a straightforward penalty attempt from Emiliano Boffelli to head into the interval trailing 15-3.
The Wallabies started the second half in ideal fashion, as resurgent first-five Quade Cooper's perfectly timed short ball sent Samu Kerevi on a clear run to the line to extend their advantage to 20-3.
In the 54th minute, Kellaway powered through weak Pumas midfield defence for his second try, before securing his hat-trick just minutes later, courtesy of another pinpoint long pass from Cooper.
As the final quarter of the match began, the Pumas finally crossed the chalk through replacement prop Thomas Gallo, who grabbed another eight minutes from fulltime to mark his test debut in style.
Australia will now pack their suitcases and wing their way to Europe - via a stopover to face Japan - where they'll play Scotland, England, and Wales.
