Scottish tennis star Andy Murray is in the dogbox with his wife, after his wedding ring was stolen.
The two-time Olympic gold medallist has revealed the bad news on Instagram, labeling himself an "idiot".
Murray, 34, explains that, while in California for the Indian Wells tournament, he left his "damp, sweaty and smelly" tennis shoes under his car to "get some air and dry them out".
When Murray discovered his shoes had been stolen the next morning, he wasn't that perturbed, until his physio picked up on something.
"As I was preparing for my practice, my physio said to me, 'Where's your wedding ring?' and I was like, 'Oh no'," Murray says.
"I basically tie my wedding ring to my tennis shoes when I'm playing, because I can't play with it on my hand.
“So yeah, my wedding ring's been stolen as well.
"Yes, I know I'm an idiot and, in hindsight, it seems like a terrible idea."
Murray, who married wife Kim Sears in 2015, tells followers: "Needless to say I'm in the bad books at home, so I want to try and find it."
He has asked followers for help finding the band, pleading: "If anyone can share this or may have any clue where they may be, it would be very helpful, so I can try and get it back."
