Silver Ferns captain Amerlianne Ekenasio has announced the arrival of her second child.
On Thursday, Ekenasio took to social media to post a photo of daughter Luna.
"Our precious, beautiful girl," Ekenasio writes on Instagram. "We are absolutely in love more than I ever knew was possible."
Ekenasio and husband Damien Ekenasio, a former Wellington Saints basketballer, already have a son, Ocean, who was born in in 2017.
The post has prompted floods of congratulatory replies from Silver Ferns teammates, including Sulu Fitzpatrick and Phoenix Karaka.
The 30-year-old hasn't featured for the Silver Ferns since their Constellation Cup win in March, taking a self-imposed break to focus on her mental health, before revealing she was pregnant during the series against the Australians.
Next year, she'll return to the ANZ Premiership for her debut season with Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, after leaving Central Pulse in August.
She'll likely return to the national squad for their build-up to July's Birmingham Commonwealth Games, with an England series looming in early 2022.
