Squads for next year's inaugural Super Rugby Aupiki competition have been finalised.
The four teams - Chiefs, Blues, Hurricanes and Matatū - feature more than 50 current or former Black Ferns players in their collective ranks.
Each franchise has named a 26-strong group for the tournament, which kicks off in March 2022.
The Chiefs contingent looks particularly strong, with a powerful line-up of backs, including Portia Woodman, Ruby Tui and Chelsea Alley among its 20 international players.
Black Ferns Sevens captain Sarah Hirini leads the Hurricanes, with Joanah Ngan-Woo, Ayesha Leti-I'iga and former Black Ferns dynamo Selica Winiata.
The South Island's Matatū will be led by Black Ferns star Kendra Cocksedge, while Australian stars Michaela Leonard and Arabella McKenzie have also been included.
The Blues have 12 current or recent Black Ferns and Black Ferns Sevens players in a squad sporting plenty of youth, with an average age of just 23 years making them the youngest of all four franchises.
New Zealand Rugby's Chris Lendrum says the announcement marks an important stepping stone for the women's game.
"Super Rugby Aupiki is a significant milestone in the growth of women's rugby in our country and this group of players rightfully take their place in the history books," says Lendrum.
The competition's schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
