While we wait, Blackcaps coach Gary Stead has spoken about Williamson's injury woes, with the skipper facing a stint on the sidelines before New Zealand's home summer.
"It's been a challenging year for Kane trying to manage his elbow and it's important we now formulate a good plan with him to ensure the injury does not continue to plague him," Stead says.
"He will likely require a sustained period of rest followed by rehabilitation, strengthening and gradual batting loading."

Kia ora, good evening and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of day one of the second test between the Blackcaps and India from Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
After that dramatic final day draw on Monday, both New Zealand and India have travelled south in the hope of sealing the two match series. Rachin Ravindra and Ajaz Patel's last wicket stand denied the hosts a 1-0 lead, and set up the chance to push for a Kiwi series win.
As at Kanpur, the pitch will dominate discussion on the opening day - albeit not for the same reason. Rain over Mumbai in the build-up has seen the pitch largely under covers for the last few days, which could play right into the Blackcaps' hands.
Mumbai is traditionally one of the friendlier Indian grounds for fast bowlers, while potential moisture from bad weather would further aid the quicks off the surface.
But this is India, so don't expect a standard Basin Reserve green-seamer, with the Wankhede ground staff keen to prepare a favourable wicket for the hosts.
As far as the teams go, New Zealand have a couple of choices to make. Despite his last-day showing with the bat, Will Somerville's efforts with the ball could see him make way for Neil Wagner, while Daryl Mitchell may also contend for Ravindra’s all-rounder's spot.
Meanwhile, India have welcomed back captain Virat Kohli,whose inclusion also causing a selection headache. Kanpur debutant Shreyas Iyer's efforts with the bat all but locks him in place, leaving vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane or veteran Cheteshwar Pujara facing the axe.
Wriddhiman Saha was unable to keep wicket for the final two days at Kanpur with a neck injury, with KS Bharat lined up for his test debut as cover. As for the hosts' bowling attack, all eyes will be on whether the three-pronged spin axis continues or if Mohammad Siraj comes into India's plans.
New Zealand are still without a test victory in India since 1988, but this could be their best chance for a long time.
