Winter Olympics medal contender Zoi Sadowski-Synott has shown her class, claiming an impressive victory in the women's snowboard slopestyle final on the Dew Tour in Colorado.
The Kiwi overcame second-placed Enni Rukajarvi (Finland) by seven points, finishing with a score of 97.75 in the final.
The 20-year-old nailed her first run, scoring an 88.50 - good enough for second spot - and then bettered that with a 95.00 on her second, but she produced an unbeatable final run to ensure a comfortable victory.
The result marks the first time Sadowski-Synott has earned a podium finish in the prestigious Dew Tour that features the world’s best snowboarders and doubles as a US Olympic team qualifier.
The Wanaka native will attend her second Olympic Games, when she arrives at Beijing next February, after claiming bronze in the big air competition at PyeongChang 2018.
Fellow Kiwi medal prospect Nico Porteous is in action in the men's ski superpipe final later on Sunday.
