Snowboarder Zoi Sadowski-Synnott has made history, hitting form at the right time before the Beijing Winter Olympics.
The 20-year-old won gold at the X-Games in the women's Snowboard Slopestyle - landing a combination that no other woman has ever done in a competition.
Sadowski-Synnott pulled off a jaw-dropping combination in Colorado, as part of a flawless run to win gold - even taking herself by surprise.
"[I] really didn't expect to come away with a gold," Sadowski-Synnott tells Newshub. "I've been working towards the run that I put down for a while now.
"It felt so good to do it, and I don't think it's ever been done so it feels awesome."
Having won this event twice before, Sadowski-Synnott's competitors were already well aware of her aerial skills, but this win showcased she's only getting better.
The Kiwi landed her frontside double 1080, right into her backside double 1080 - which up until Saturday had never been done in a competition.
And the boost from the win leaves the PyeongChang bronze medallist eyeing up gold in Beijing.
"It gives me a lot of confidence going into Beijing," she adds.
"It's kind of crazy. I've been practicing and working towards that run for a long time, so to put that down in Beijing - would mean the world to me."
Despite putting them on notice today, Sadowski-Synnott knows the competition will be tough at the Winter Olympics.
"Everyone was ripping so hard, but it was amazing watching everyone throw down today, the level at the moment is insane," she says.
"I can, I guess, enjoy this success once this season is finished, but it's not quite over yet."
Sadowski-Synnott is hoping she can pull her winning combo off again - and land gold when it really counts.
