Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko remains in the hunt at the close of her third round at the season-opening LPGA event in Florida.
Starting the day in three-way tie for ninth, Ko carded a one-under par 71 in her penultimate round at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions on Sunday (NZ time), leaving her seven shots adrift of leader Nelly Korda and in a share for 10th place with Finland's Matilda Castren at six-under overall.
The world No. 3 was steady with just a birdie and a single bogey on the Lake Nona course she's familiar with as a resident of the area.
American Danielle Kang and Mexican Gaby Lopez are tied for second place at 12-under overall.
Ko continues her momentum from her resurgent 2021 season, which included winning her first LPGA event in almost three years, claiming the Vare Trophy for the lowest scoring average on the tour, and winning bronze at the Tokyo Olympics.
